PopPhone — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the PopPhone mobile application ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use it. PopPhone is operated by TrendWiseLabs, an independent Android app studio based in Brazil.
1. Who we are
PopPhone is an Android application that displays popularity rankings of mobile phone models and helps you compare technical specifications. It is published by TrendWiseLabs and is not affiliated with Amazon, Google, GSMArena, Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, or any other phone manufacturer or retailer mentioned within the App.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
The App does not require any account, login, name, email address, phone number, or payment information.
2.2 Information stored locally on your device
- Favorites — the list of phone models you mark as favorites is stored only on your device using a local database (Hive). It is never transmitted to any server controlled by us.
- App preferences — language and basic UI preferences are stored locally.
- Cached data — the latest popularity ranking and phone images may be cached locally to reduce data usage and allow offline browsing.

We do not operate our own analytics, crash reporting, or marketing infrastructure in this version of the App.
3. How we use information
- The local favorites list is used only to render your favorites screen on your device.
- Information collected by AdMob is used by Google to deliver ads and measure their effectiveness, as described in Google's policies.
4. Advertising and consent
The App contains banner and interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob.
- In regions where the law requires it (European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland, and similar jurisdictions), a consent dialog is shown on first launch (via Google's UMP SDK). You can change your choice at any time from the About → Privacy options screen inside the App.
- You can reset or opt out of personalized ads at any time from your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization.
5. Information we share
We do not sell or share any personal information with parties other than the third-party SDKs listed in §2.3, which collect data directly under their own privacy policies.
6. Links to external services
When you tap a "View on Amazon US" or "View on Amazon BR" button, the App opens your default browser or the Amazon app at a search URL. Once you leave the App, the destination service's privacy policy applies. The App does not transmit personal information in those links.
7. Data retention
- Favorites and preferences remain on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its storage.
- Cached data is automatically refreshed every 6 hours and may be cleared by the operating system at any time.
- Data handled by Google AdMob is retained per Google's own retention policies.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App and provided information through one of the third-party SDKs, please contact us so the relevant SDK can be asked to delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (LGPD in Brazil, GDPR in EEA/UK, CCPA in California, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. Because the App itself does not collect personal information server-side, most requests should be addressed directly to Google:

10. Security
Local data stored by the App is protected by your device's standard application sandboxing. We do not store any personal data on our own servers in this version of the App.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at the same URL where you found this document (https://trendwiselabs.app/popphone/privacy/), with a new "Last updated" date at the top.
