PopPhone — Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the PopPhone mobile application ("the App") published by TrendWiseLabs ("we", "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not redistribute, decompile, reverse-engineer, or sublicense the App except where local law expressly permits it.
2. The service, as-is
The App displays popularity rankings of mobile phone models derived from publicly available sources (currently GSMArena interest data) and links to product searches on Amazon US and Amazon BR.
- Rankings reflect popularity (interest / page views), not sales. Labeling is intentional — we do not claim to publish sales figures.
- Prices visible after tapping a marketplace link are controlled by Amazon, not by us, and may change at any time.
- The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability of any data.
3. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services that have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of the App is also subject to:
- Google Terms of Service (including Google Play and Google AdMob)
- Amazon Conditions of Use (US)
- Amazon Condições de Uso (BR)
4. Affiliate disclosure
The App may include affiliate links to Amazon US and Amazon BR. If you click such a link and complete a qualifying purchase, TrendWiseLabs may receive a small commission from Amazon, at no extra cost to you. This commission helps fund the development of the App and does not influence which products are shown — phone selection is based solely on popularity ranking.
5. Advertising
The App is funded in part by advertising served by Google AdMob. By using the App, you agree to the display of ads, including personalized ads where permitted under applicable law and your consent choices (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Intellectual property
- The App, including its code, design, and branding, is the property of TrendWiseLabs or its licensors.
- Product names, logos, and trademarks shown within the App belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. PopPhone is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any phone manufacturer or retailer.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent any security measures of the App or its third-party services.
- Automate, scrape, or republish the data shown in the App.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrendWiseLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to BRL 100,00.
9. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue the App, or your access to it, at any time, with or without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of São Paulo, SP, except where mandatory consumer-protection law (CDC) provides otherwise.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance.
